Unbelievable
Sunday, May 7th, 2006I left that random blog to see if anyone was paying attentions. I’ve been meaning on blogging about a lot of things–on my shift in attitude on partying, on my ever-worsening insomnia, on my excitement to have Paul (old gay BFF) back in DC, on my adventure at the Lord of the Rings Marathon where I met participated in a Gollum-impersonation contest and more importantly met this AMAZING woman who has the same FULL name as my sister Susan minus TWO LETTERS! I won’t write about ANY of that, however. I MUST however talk about my new cell phone. I’ve had the old one for over 2 years. you all know it as "that-glittery-pink-and-white-"gem"-encrusted-beat-up-paris-hilton-wanna-be phone." It had better ringtones than any you’ve seen and it took the most flattering pictures because of it’s archaic zero megapixel resolution. It retired and has been replaced with a phone that does all the things of the old phone, PLUS: it can record video, take 1.3 megapixel photos, AND is an mp3 player (256mb.) It was inspired by this hot guy I met the other night who has a video phone. He ALMOST convinved me to get the Verizon, but it was easier to get the Sprint version. I have THOUSANDS of photos uploaded to sprints site that i haven’t saved to my comp/cd so I went the path of laziness. Oh. Forgot to mention–I saw the BEST concert last night. This was Phoenix’s second concert in DC at the 9:30 Club. They were HOT. Roz snuck us up to the front stage (!) and I got the best pics AND VIDEO from the concert. Look how close I am to the stage:
Also, Roz and I went to Electrotease after the concert @ DC9 and had a BLAST. The music was bumpin’ and ranged from funky electronic 70s to pop electro to ladytron to Madonna (okay, they played Hung Up.) The best part of the night? At the end, walking out through the main level and running into the lead singer and all the band of Phoenix! One of the guitarists gave me the eye on the way out, but i was too in shock (and really lusting after the drummer–hehehe!)
